Robots are taking over the World!!

Beep Boop, I am a Robot.

I was playing the Sims a few days ago and I had a whole ass family and my computer shut down so I gave up on that family so now my main family is a single mom who's a politician and her daughter and the mom puts like SO much pressure on the daughter so her logic skill is currently at level 3 even though she's still a little girl (Grammarly doesn't approve of this run-on sentence).

I've decided to hop on the AI bandwagon and since the only thing I know about my major is that AI could probably run it in a few years I feel like my opinion should be known. Can you imagine the feelings that the ChatGPT guy is going through? He created this insane thing and now people are using it to write fan fiction. I hope he's proud of himself and I hope he feels good about starting the process in which the world slowly turns into something like Wall-E. 

My mom is a big hater of Chat GPT, but she's also been following every single new problem that it brings. I went into her room after asking Chat GPT to propose a "non-existent product to the sharks from shark tank" (the "SnapClean" - the world's first automatic cleaning tool for your smartphone - will not be in stores just yet) because it scared the actual shit out of me, and she immediately brings up her already opened tab with information on the different types of jobs that will soon be non-existent due to this AI program. I'm scared for my well-being.

I had also mentioned wanting to do something in the journalism/english field during my first college counselor meeting (though I do change my mind VERY often) and she immediately tells me that I probably should change career paths.

“这是一个夕阳的专业。还没等你毕业这个专业已经会消失了。百分之百没有，去问Chat GPT吧！” (HER WORDS, I asked her to repeat herself and she ended up going on a rant that I didn't have time to type out)

And I'm not saying that I disagree, because AI will definitely take over things like art and journalism, but I also feel like over time we'll get to the point where we'll want to cherish traditional tools. Kind of like what we're doing with trends and fashion, where we become inspired by popular trends from two decades ago.

But also, what does she expect? It's not just the jobs in manufacturing or agriculture that are at risk, but even jobs in service industries like customer service and retail are being automated. The fear of job displacement is real, and as a young person, it is scary to think about what my future career options might be.

I have always been interested in technology, but the thought of AI taking over jobs has made me question whether pursuing a career in technology is even worth it. Will there be any job security in this field if AI can do it all? This fear has led me to consider other career paths that may be less susceptible to automation.

Moreover, the fear of AI taking over jobs is not just limited to my personal career prospects. It also has wider societal implications. With fewer jobs available, there is a risk of increased inequality, with only the wealthiest individuals having access to employment opportunities. This could lead to a greater divide between the rich and the poor, as well as social unrest.

In conclusion, as a 16-year-old girl, I am scared of AI taking over jobs. The uncertainty of what my future career prospects will be, and the wider societal implications of job displacement, make me worried about what the future holds. As technology continues to advance, it is important for us to consider the potential consequences and to work towards finding solutions that will benefit everyone.

Why did the AI get fired from its job writing blog posts?

Because it always wrote "error 404: humor not found" at the end of its jokes!

This blog post also broke my blogger, so I'm sure there is SOMETHING conspiring behind the scenes with my computer. Maybe it's like the emoji movie and like Blogger is the Poop emoji and ChatGPT is Emmett or whatever his name was.
